Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue similar to the uterus lining grows outside the uterus. Many women ignore its early signs for years.
Here are 13 very common warning symptoms you should not ignore:
1. Painful periods (severe cramps)
Your period pain is so strong that normal painkillers do not help or you cannot work properly.
2. Chronic pelvic pain
Pain in the lower stomach or pelvic area even when you are not on your period.
3. Pain during or after sex
Deep pain during intercourse is one of the most typical signs.
4. Heavy bleeding during periods
You need to change pads very often or bleeding lasts longer than usual.
5. Bleeding between periods
Light or heavy bleeding even when your period has finished.
6. Lower back and leg pain
Pain spreads to the back, hips or legs, especially during periods.
7. Pain while passing urine
Burning or sharp pain when you urinate, mostly during periods.
8. Pain during bowel movement
Pain while using the toilet, especially in your period days.
9. Constant bloating (“endo belly”)
Your stomach becomes suddenly swollen and tight without clear reason.
10. Extreme tiredness (fatigue)
You feel exhausted all the time, even after rest.
11. Nausea, diarrhea or constipation
Digestive problems that become worse during periods.
12. Difficulty getting pregnant
Many women find out they have endometriosis only when facing infertility.
13. Worsening pain month after month
Pain slowly increases every cycle and does not improve with time.
⚠️ Very important for you (simple and honest)
If you are having 2 or more of these symptoms regularly, you should see a gynecologist.
Endometriosis cannot be confirmed only by symptoms — proper medical tests are needed.
Do not ignore daily pain. It is not “normal period pain.”
