let’s clear up the truth 👇
🔍 What is this “ear hole”?
That tiny hole near the front of the ear is called a preauricular pit (or sinus). It’s a common, harmless congenital condition, meaning you’re born with it.
🧬 Why do some people have it?
It forms during early development in the womb
Happens when ear tissues don’t fully fuse together
It can run in families (genetic)
⚠️ Should you worry?
Most of the time: No problem at all
But in rare cases:
It can get infected
You may notice swelling, pain, or discharge
👉 If that happens, a doctor may prescribe antibiotics or suggest minor treatment.
✅ It’s simply a minor anatomical variation
🟢 When to see a doctor
Pain or redness around the hole
Fluid or pus coming out
Repeated infections
