Cancer often develops quietly, but your body can give early warning signals. Not all of these mean cancer—but they should never be ignored, especially if they persist.
1. Unexplained Weight Loss
Losing weight without trying—especially 5 kg (10 lbs) or more—can be an early sign of cancers like stomach, lung, or pancreatic cancer.
👉 If you’re eating normally but still losing weight, it’s worth getting checked.
2. Persistent Fatigue
Feeling constantly tired, even after rest, may signal something deeper. Cancer-related fatigue doesn’t improve with sleep and can feel overwhelming.
3. Unusual Lumps or Swelling
A lump anywhere on the body—especially in the breast, neck, or armpits—should be checked. Not all lumps are cancer, but early evaluation is crucial.
4. Changes in Skin or Moles
Watch for:
Changes in size, shape, or color of moles
Sores that don’t heal
New unusual spots
These could be signs of skin cancer.
5. Persistent Pain or Unexplained Symptoms
Ongoing pain—like headaches, back pain, or abdominal discomfort—without a clear reason can sometimes signal underlying disease.
🚨 When to See a Doctor
Don’t panic—but don’t ignore your body either. See a doctor if:
Symptoms last more than 2–3 weeks
They worsen over time
You notice multiple warning signs together
